Meets a POST IDI Level Three Requirement

The purpose of this course is to further develop the instructor skills of the POST instructor who is interested in furthering their skills in leadership, mentoring and coaching as an instructor. While this course is a requirement for all who wish to earn advanced level certification, anyone at any level may attend the course. This is an opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills in this critically important area of training

Principal Based Leadership Mentoring in the Training World
 
Servant and Positional Leadership How to be an Effective Coach to an Instructor

COURSE CLASS HOURS: Start time:   8:00 AM    Finish Time 5:00 PM

This course is a requirement for completion of IDI Level Three. The course has an instructor theme and is also available to instructors who may not be participating in the IDI process or who have not reached Level Three.

  Review of Level Three requirements . . .
  Attendance and successful completion of a 16-hour POST IDI Leadership, Coaching and Mentoring Course (THIS COURSE)
  Attendance and successful completion of a 40-hour POST Level Three Advanced Course and 16-hour Teachback (56 hrs Total)
 
Participation and completion of a 24 hour practicum;

 8 hrs being mentored
n
 8 hrs coaching and mentoring another instructor(s)
n
 8 hrs conducting classroom assessments of the teaching skills of Level One and Two students
CERT HOURS: 16
FEE: No Tuition for approved students

POST Plan IV: There is no tuition for this class for POST reimbursable agencies. Student travel and per diem reimbursement will be via Training Reimbursement Request (TRR) or via Letter of Agreement (LOA) for POST reimbursable agencies only.
