| Certification at the Advanced Level (Level 3) requires: |
- Successful completion of the 56-hr, Level 3 Advanced Instructor Development Course
- Successful completion of the 24-hr IDI Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching Course
- Successful completion of a coaching and mentoring practicum

POST IDI Advanced Instructor |
The purpose of this course is to further develop the instructor skills of the POST instructor who has attended and been certified at IDI Level 2. Upon completion of this course, the 24-hour Leadership, Mentoring and Coaching Course and a mentoring practicum, the instructor will be certified at IDI Level 3.
This 40-hour Phase 1 and 16-hour Phase 2 (Teach Back Session) provides additional instructor development skills while designing or enhancing a module of instruction they currently teach or are designated to teach. IDI Level 3 Certification is required to begin the Level 4 Master Instructor Certification Course. This core course will reinforce and provide the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned during IDI Level 1 and 2 training. |

The purpose of this course is to further develop the instructor knowledge and skills of the POST instructor who is interested in furthering their skills in leadership, mentoring and coaching as an instructor. While this course is a requirement for all who wish to earn advanced level certification, any law enforcement instructor may attend the course. This is an opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills in this critically important area of training.
This course is designed for active, hands-on participation by the students. Course work will include learning activities and other hands on practical exercises. |
