This five-day, 40-hour, course is for investigators in all fields of investigation. This course will train the investigator in ways to recognize terrorism information during your investigation and what to do with that information. It also provides information on weapons and techniques terrorists’ use, and vital investigative strategies on terrorism to assist the investigator in a safe and successful handling of your case.
The course is designed for active, hands-on participation by the students; they are expected to be active participants throughout the training. This will include conducting research and providing briefings on the contemporary terrorist threat. Sharing of information on useful terrorism related resources used by the students in their investigative activities is a unique part of the program. Students should bring copies of unclassified resource materials as well as resource URL’s to share with their classmates. We will build a consolidated list of these resources during the class.
The instructional team includes terrorism experts, bomb technicians and computer experts in the field of intelligence gathering. This course is a POST ICI elective.

While this is not a search warrant writing class, it is recognized that writing a proper search warrant in relation to investigations is essential to your job. With that in mind, the following has been established as a minimum baseline for students attending this course:
- Have taken the 2-week ICI Core Course

Reimbursement Plan IV: There is no tuition for POST reimbursable agencies. Student travel and per diem reimbursement will be via Training Reimbursement Request (TRR) for POST reimbursable agencies only.
Non-Reimbursable agencies: Tuition $767.60 and there is no reimbursement for travel and per diem.
