COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is an intermediate level course and is the next step in increasing your skills in the investigation of social networking websites. This class builds on the basic class and takes you through several popular social networking sites, how they operate, how they are compromised and how the investigator can best conduct investigations into these sites. The purpose is to give law enforcement officers the tools needed to understand and investigate crimes where Internet usage occurs and to find leads associated with such occurrences. It is strongly recommended that participants bring a laptop computer to the session as there are a limited number provided at the training site.

PARTICIPATING AGENCIES & TARGET AUDIENCE: All personnel with basic computer investigation of web site skills whose duty it is to investigate any crime that may have connection to the Internet and related technology based incidents.
